Movie/Pizza Night

The St Gabriel School Council is hosting a Movie/Pizza Night on Thursday, October 4th.  The movie is “The Lego Batman Movie”. Cost for the movie is $5.00 each (max $20 per family). You may buy your tickets in advance using school cash.  If you would like to order pizza for the evening you MUST pre-order using School Cash.

Tornado Relief

St Gabriel’s would like to do our part in helping the victims of the tornado.  The Food Bank has supplied us with the following list of the items that are most needed.  WE WILL COLLECT ITEMS THIS WEEK ONLY.

Baby Diapers, Baby wipes, Baby Food (jar foods, formula), Non perishable can foods, Women’s toiletries (ie. deodorant, razors etc), clothing is appreciated, any financial amount is appreciated, lower on the list but also needed is:  rice, crackers, cans/containers of juice, fruit cups and juice boxes, canned flaked meat, canned carrots, canned green and yellow beans, canned salmon and cleaning supplies (vim, windex, paper towels).




Girls’ and Boys’ Soccer Teams Participated in Board Tournament

On September 20 and September 27, the St Gabriel Catholic School girls’ and boys soccer teams traveled to St Gemma Catholic School and participated in the Ottawa Catholic School Board tournament.  The teams showed awesome skill and determination. The girls’ team was coached by Mr LaBrash, congratulations to team members: Ahona Dan, Norah Dowd, Lina Nasrallah, Anna Osmond, Dhisha Aravind, Sara Pirbhai, Kate Mundy, Kenzie Shaw, Lauren Kuhn, Natalia Rinaldi, Sabrina Di Maso, Nadine Nasrallah, Chloe Davis and Maliah Hauser.

The boy’s were coached by Mr Lavergne, congratulations to team members: Anthony Aweya, Kyle Boileau, Nate Davis, Gianni Bernabo, Simon Sommerfield, Jacob Lalonde, Jack Birch, Cole Neeley, Alfred Regpala, Matthias D’Souza, Brandon Mizuno, Kian Gauthier, Rian O’Halloran, Davi Hopkins, Magnus Muirhead and Jeffrey Zheng.


Empty Seat Applications

For those parents who completed a “Empty Seat Application” for busing, we have received the following information from OSTA:

“OSTA staff is focused on providing support and services for students and their families, and school communities most affected by the tornadoes.  Due to a disruption of service, OSTA will be delaying review of empty seat applications until October 5, 2018. Seat assignments will begin the following week.  Parents are encouraged to check the Parent Web Portal for Seat assignments. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during these trying times.”
